Due to an error at my end, this is actually the newsletter for 18 November and it will be deleted shortly. Apologies for any inconvenience!
I hope you’ve had a great week, we’ve had some unusual weather here in my little corner of eastern Australia which has meant it’s been several days of quite cold temperatures (it’s late Spring here and by now it’s usually a lot warmer), but it seems to have turned a corner today and the sun is shining which means I am smiling!
So… greetings and salutations, and a warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week and a brilliant weekend!
My favourite things this week:
1. ‘Burnout’ from @thrive [via Instagram]
Burnout can happen to anyone at any time; a few weeks ago I was on the verge of it because I was pushing myself too hard, and this post was a great reminder that you can love what you do and still be tired. Make your self care a priority every day. (PS: I’m doing better now!)
2. ‘The mood pyramid’ from @lizandmollie [via Instagram]
Love this reinterpretation of the food pyramid into the mood pyramid: one serve of fun per day, a few servings of meaningful projects, several servings of some form of movement, many servings of time with loved ones and sunlight, and as much time to recharge as is needed. Love it!
3. ‘Understanding’ from @tinybuddhaofficial [via Instagram]
“It’s easy to judge. It’s more difficult to understand.”
And while you’re here… if you haven’t already subscribed to my YouTube channel, please do! Click on one of the videos below and then select the subscribe option at the end (or click the channel icon to go to the channel page and subscribe there). Thank you!
Tip of the week for better mental health:
Make one small positive change in your life. Small things add up over time to yield big results.
