Hello Talkers!,
Happy solstice week! For those of you in the northern hemisphere, you’ve just had the longest day of the year and are no doubt enjoying Summer (or experiencing it, if you’re not a particular fan of the season lol!) whilst here in the southern hemisphere we’ve just had the shortest day of the year. I’ve said many times before that I’ve found connecting more with the cycles of nature to be quite grounding and soothing, and there is something quite joyful in now, two days after the Winter Solstice, seeing that sunset is two minutes later than it was on the solstice… so even though we are in the depths of Winter here (I am practically sitting on my heater as I write this while wearing four layers of clothing), it’s a tiny little sign that within a couple of months we’ll see the first signs of Spring. Hooray!
Anyway, enough of my philosophising about the cycles of nature… I hope you have an absolutely fantastic week no matter where you are in the world (and if you do have a chance to take even just five minutes to really look around and observe nature, you’ll find it incredibly grounding… peace of mind for the win!).
So without any further ado… greetings and salutations, and a very warm welcome to another newsletter. I hope you enjoy my quick snapshot of my favourite things this week — hopefully at least one of them will make you smile/feel inspired. Have a fantastic week!
